African elephants (Loxodonta Africana) were
historically found south of the Sahara Desert to the south tip of Africa, from
the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean. Currently their population is limited to
several national parks and game reserves in southern Africa due to poaching and
habitat destruction.
